    Chopin Polonaise-Fantaisie op. 61
Debussy Pagodes, La soirée dans Grenade, Jardins sous la pluie excerpts from Estampes
Albéniz  3 Excerpts from Iberia : Evocación (Livre I), El Puerto (Livre I), Triana ( Livre II)
Schumann Symphonic Etudes, Posth.Variations  op. 13

An intelligently articulated performance by a discreet but talented piano master. The publisher Jacques Durand had this to say on receiving the first pages of what would eventually become the two Books listed under the name Images by Debussy: "Without false vanity, I believe that these three pieces stand up and will take their place in the piano literature..., to the left of Schumann or to the right of Chopin.” This is undoubtedly what inspired Nelson Goerner for the programme of his new recital. All that was missing was the 'exotic' touch of Albéniz and his Iberia to make this a first-class piano cocktail for the evening.
