    A pianist of astounding maturity and virtuosity, Nikolay Khozyainov is performing at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for the first time.

    Pianist and composer Nikolay Khozyainov is considered one of today's most talented musicians. He has seduced audiences on the most prestigious stages on every continent. His recital will open with Chopin's Fourth Ballade, followed by the French premiere of Khozyainov's Pétales de la Paix, commissioned by the United Nations for its grand Concert for Peace at the Salle des Droits de l'Homme in November 2022. The program continues with Ravel's Pavane pour une infante défunte, a piece of fragile, moving beauty, and his own arrangement of the Stravinsky-Khozyainov Three Movements from The Rite of Spring, which had its world premiere here in 1913. In the second half, Rachmaninov's rare Piano Sonata No. 1, Op. 28.
