Nikolaus Harnoncourt may have passed away, but a new generation is ready to take up the baton of the early masters of the baroque movement. Hans-Christoph Rademann is the embodiment of the finest tradition of German choral singing. Formerly in Berlin and now in Dresden and Stuttgart, he conducts Schütz, Britten, Mendelssohn and Schnittke with equal success. For his first appearance at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with the highly respected Bach Stuttgart Academy, now known as the Gächniger Kantorei, he has chosen the ultimate masterpiece and his own personal favourite – Bach’s Mass in B minor – to guarantee us a memorable moment of intense spirituality.
