Women in the spotlight at the opening concert of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris's season featuring the joys of classical and swing music.
French Bœuf de rentrée!
Three musical sets
Set 1 Reception by the brass and winds of the orchestra on the front of the Theatre
Set 2 Classical and virtuosos with Hummel, Mozart and Kodály
Set 3 French Bœuf with Ibert, Debussy and some surprises...
Finger food, snack and bar between the sets.
Kicking off the autumn in style, the orchestra is offering you an evening comprising three parts, packed with musical joy and fun. Firstly, a warm welcome by the brass and wind instruments on the forecourt.
Then it's time for a second virtuoso set, with the most prominent young artists of the moment, led by conductor Marzena Diakun: pianist Marie-Ange Nguci, trumpet player Lucienne Renaudin-Vary (Victoire de la Musique 2016) and singers Jodie Devos and Marie Perbost have put together a classical programme full of swing, which joyfully lets their talents shine through. Finally, for a tip-top finish, a "French jam session" will provide an opportunity for the general public to take to the stage, giving way to some great surprises... Last but not least, we can also sip a drink and enjoy some finger food as the festive evening unfolds.
