To read

Here is a programme combining talent, audacity, sensitivity and endurance in the image of its interpreter. In the first part, a transcription of Bach's famous prelude and fugue in A minor by Liszt and a paraphrase inspired by Mozart's opera Don Giovanni are performed alongside Bach's profound and ambitious Chaconne in D minor, again by Bach but this time transcribed for piano by Busoni. Simon Ghraichy will continue with a lively second part combining the popular Andalusian colours of Albéniz's Iberia Book IV with the dramatic romanticism of Granados’ Goyescas. A new and beautiful demonstration of the technical prowess and musical curiosity that define this endearing performer.
