American singer Renée Fleming has a huge repertoire. She can sing anything and is prodigiously talented! Strauss, Mozart, Handel, bel canto, Viennese Lieder, French melody (from Duparc to Dutilleux), jazz and even rock. She is the quintessential diva assoluta. For his part, Russian Kissin has tamed the carefree exuberance of youth to bring new depth of maturity to his work. Now in his forties, he has achieved a unique performance standard, characterised by a peerless mastery of technical challenges, which allows him to convey the full drama, nobility and poetry of his programmes. We are familiar with his solo performances and occasional trios and quartets for chamber music programmes, but this is the first time that he has worked with singers, and with singers of this calibre! This will be an eagerly anticipated event.
