    This privacy policy defines and informs you of the way in which the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées uses and protects the information you transmit to us in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) adopted by the European Parliament on 14 April 2016, and the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978.

    The data controller referred to in this privacy policy is represented by the General Director, Mr. Michel Franck.

    THE PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

    The personal data that may be processed include the following:

    • Personal and professional email addresses
    • Password
    • Title (Mrs, Ms, Mr, etc.)
    • Name
    • First Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Language
    • Full home and workplace addresses
    • Telephone number
    • Record of orders
    • Preferences, hobbies, interests
    • Claims
    • Login and pseudonym
    • Socio-professional category

    Personal data that must imperatively be provided are indicated by an asterisk. If these data are not provided, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées will be unable to process the User’s request. Certain personal data are collected automatically as a result of the User’s actions on the website.

    PURPOSES AND LEGAL GROUNDS FOR DATA PROCESSING

    Personal data are processed for the following purposes:

    • Creating and managing access to the account opened by the User,
    • Depending on the User's choices, sending newsletters, communications on programming or information and special offers from the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées,
    • Depending on the User's choices, transfer to cultural partners so that they can receive special offers,
    • Customising the services offered and the messages sent,
    • Responding to Users contact requests,
    • Managing orders placed by the User and customer relations.

    The legal basis for the processing is the User's consent, with the exception of processing for the purposes of managing orders placed and customer relations which is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the User is party.

    RETENTION PERIOD

    • Personal data used for the purpose of managing orders are retained for as long as necessary to manage the commercial relationship, extended by the period needed to establish proof of a right or contract.
    • Personal data used for commercial prospecting purposes are retained for three years from the end of the commercial relationship or the last contact from the User.
    • Personal data relating to credit/bank cards are deleted as soon as the transaction is complete.
    • Personal data relating to a prospect/contact who is not a customer are retained for three years from the date they are collected or the last contact from the prospect.

    RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

    The personal data collected is intended for the departments of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in charge of processing including the following departments:

    • Public Relations
    • Communication and patronage
    • Young Audience
    • Production

    Within the limits of their respective roles.

    The data is also intended for service providers acting as subcontractors on behalf of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, for the above-mentionned purposes.

    Subject to the User's agreement, the data may also be transferred to cultural partners.

    TRANSFERT OUTSIDE UE/EEE

    The User is informed that personal data concerning him/her may be transferred to a company based in Switzerland, which maintains and hosts the ticket sales system and acts as a subcontractor on behalf of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. The adequacy of the protection of personal data in Switzerland was recognised by Commission Decision 2000/518/EC of 26 July 2000.

    USER RIGHTS

    The Privacy Policy and any dispute arising from the collection or processing of personal data by the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées are subject to French law and to the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris.

    AMENDMENTS TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

    The Privacy Policy may be modified at any time by the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
    In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify and oppose any data concerning you.
