Beethoven Sonata for cello and piano No. 3 Op. 69
Quintet for piano and winds Op. 16
    Piano Trio No. 7 « Archduke »

Our traditional seasonal rendezvous with the Pablo Casals Festival on avenue Montaigne always provides an opportunity for Michel Lethiec and his chamber music friends to perform a themed programme in an intimate concert. This second evening will be a tribute to Beethoven with the Cello Sonata op. 69, Quintet op. 16 – a youthful work and an obvious tribute to Mozart (K. 452) composed for the same instruments and in the same tonal range – and also the musician’s most famous trio dedicated to Archduke Rodolphe of Austria, hence its nickname.
