Schumann Märchenbilder, four pieces for viola and piano Op. 113
Brahms Zwei Gesänge for voice, alto and piano op. 91
Von ewinger Liebe, Die Mainacht, 2 Lieder op 43
Chausson Concert for piano, violion and string quartet Op. 21
Chanson perpétuelle for voice, string quartet and piano Op. 37

Melancholy lyricism here, passionate rage there, all interspersed with romantic poetry. Supported by Adam Laloum's keyboard, Lise Berthaud's bow makes the link between Schumann's Märchenbilder, as dreamy as it is impetuous, and Brahms's Opus 91, all wave-like with a golden soul. The violist finds her place in the four aces which she forms with Pierre Fouchenneret, Sarah Nemtanu and François Salque to give body to the tumultuous Concert that Ernest Chausson composed with Eugène Ysaÿe in mind. More dark colours in Chanson Perpétuelle with symbolist ulterior motives, where Lucile Richardot evokes the memory of happy love.
