About

Successor to the late Jean-Claude Magloire at the head of the Grande Écurie and the Chambre du Roy, Alexis Kossenko does not forsake his Ambassadors for any reason, preferring to let go of the flute for the performance of a Requiem. There are none in Mozart's orchestra, whose "historically informed" formation will attempt to revive the original colours. Colours that the divine Wolfgang did not hear himself, broke as he was long before he finished the work. In order to fulfil the anonymous commission of Count Franz von Walsegg-Stuppach in the summer of 1791 – and to pocket the sum that would allow him to get back on his feet – the widow Constance commissioned Joseph Eybler to complete the score. Which is interrupted at the Lacrimosa. Franz Xaver Süssmayr, another student of Amadeus, takes over. The beauty of teamwork.
