About

The press and audiences lavish praise on every performance by the young German-Russian pianist Igor Levit, who is now a member of the international keyboard elite. Although he embraces the present with enthusiasm (he is very active on social media and undertakes numerous public engagements), as an artist he prefers depth to haste. Beethoven has long been his first love. In the space of a few years, he has recorded the complete 32 sonatas, released in 2019, to great acclaim from the international press. His interpretation of the most frequently performed corpus in the piano repertoire was as committed as it was dazzling. The next phase in this solo colossal exploration will take place at the end of the month.
