About
This evening promises to make sparks fly. Amina Edris, a soprano with a silky tone, and Pene Pati, a tenor with a powerful warm voice, share far more than just notes: a rapport that is obvious from the very first note. Joined by the Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie and Samy Rachid, they imbue every melody with new colours, as if it were written specially for them. The programme features a whirlwind of the most beautiful arias and duets by Berlioz, Verdi, Gounod, Bizet, Massenet and Puccini — pieces that speak of love, passion and destiny, and which will take on a special resonance. It is as though the repertoire had been waiting for this duo to reveal its full magic.
