About
This young quartet, which was formed in 2019, already has all the makings of greatness, as demonstrated by the clutch of international awards it has received (notably at the Wigmore Hall Competition in London and the Concours de Bordeaux) and the release of their first recording which was very well received. Much early encouragement was forthcoming from their mentors: Alfred Brendel, Günther Pichler and Valentin Erben (Alban Berg Quartett), Reinhard Göbel, Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet), Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartet) and Mathieu Herzog (Quatuor Ébène). For this second concert, they go back to basics with Beethoven and Schubert’s sublime Rosamunde, the piece with which the musician “wanted to pave the way for the great symphony.” And you can clearly hear this.
